How to give teens access to our parish page in Hallow

What the youth access toggle is and how it works

By default, youth between the ages of 13 and 17 can't find or join your parish page. If you'd like to open your parish page up to them, you can turn on Allow Youth Access from your Admin Dashboard settings.

Turning On Youth Access For Your Parish Page

  1. From the Hallow Admin Dashboard, go to Settings at the bottom of the left navigation menu.

  2. Tap Permissions.

  3. Find Allow Youth Access and toggle it on.

Once this is turned on, youth ages 13–17 will be able to see and search for your parish page and join it like any other customer.

To turn it back off, follow the same steps and toggle Allow Youth Access off. Youth will no longer be able to find or join your parish page going forward.

Things to Know

  • This setting is off by default for every parish.

  • Youth access is specific to your parish page — it doesn't affect Faith Formation or Religious Education (RE) program assignments, which work separately and don't require this toggle.

  • This setting doesn't affect Kids Profiles or younger children — it's specifically for the 13–17 age range.

No — this setting only applies to youth ages 13–17.

Can we turn Youth Access off after turning it on?
