Want to set a reminder to pray?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In the Hallow app, there are two different types of reminders you can set, using the "Routine" feature. This article focuses on how to set a general reminder to pray at a certain time.

Option 1:

You can set a reminder to listen to specific prayers and meditations, or even multiple sessions of content, that are part of your routine.

For specific instructions about how to set up routines, please view this article:

Option 2:

You can set a general prayer reminder to remind you to pray at certain times throughout the day. This is helpful if you only want the app to remind you to pray, but don't want to be prompted to pray a certain piece of content.

To add this prayer reminder, you can add an empty Time Block in the Routines section

  1. Click on Routine from your Home Tab.

  2. Click Build Your Routine or +Time Block.

  3. Use the provided drop-down to change the time.

  4. Tap the bell icon to turn notifications on/off for that time block.

  5. Tap Done without adding any content.

  6. Choose the option Add Reminder.

Note: this will just set a reminder to pray at a certain time. If you want the reminder to bring you to a particular prayer, visit this article!

Your prayer reminder should look like this in the app:
