You can find The Word from the Home tab, in the games carousel section. The game is available to all users, both free and paid, and is included in the latest version of the Hallow app.
How to play The Word
For instructions on how to play The Word, you can always tap the info icon (ℹ️) in the upper left corner of the game screen.
You have 6 tries to guess the word of the day. Each guess must be a real 5-letter word. After each guess, the letter tiles will flip to show how close you are to the correct answer:
Green tiles mean the letter is correct and in the right spot.
Yellow tiles mean the letter is in the word, but in the wrong spot.
Gray tiles mean the letter is not in the word at all.
Note: The Word may include proper nouns like “Jesus” — something that sets it apart from similar word games.
Once you solve the word of the day, you’ll see your current streak status and have the option to share your results. You’ll also unlock a special “Did You Know?” section to learn more about the significance or meaning of the word, offering a fun and thoughtful way to grow in faith and knowledge each day.
