Overview
Parish Events lets your community view, RSVP to, and get notified about events happening at your parish — from Mass and Adoration to a parish fish fry. Below, you will find how the feature works, steps for creating an event, and answers to common questions.
Only parish admins can create events, and only through the Hallow Admin Dashboard (HAD) for now. The ability to create events from the mobile app is coming in a future release.
Anyone can view a published event — no Hallow account or parish membership required. To RSVP, a viewer needs to create a free Hallow account.
Viewing and RSVPing to events doesn't require a Hallow Subscription.
Published events appear in your parish's Events tab (visible to admins) and in the Spotlight carousel on your parish page in the app.
Events can be viewed and RSVP'd to on both the mobile app and web.
Two event types:Parish Schedule — for recurring liturgical items like Mass, Adoration, or Confession. RSVP is off by default.
Generic Event — for one-time gatherings that don't have to be Hallow-related. RSVP is on by default.
Attendees can share an event with others using the Share button on the event details screen, including sharing it directly as a card into Hallow Chat.

FAQs
Where do published events appear?
Once published, an event appears in a carousel under the Spotlight section of your parish page in the app. Members are also notified through a push notification rather than seeing it appear directly in their home feed.

Can I require members to RSVP?
Yes. When creating an event, you can turn RSVP on or off depending on what the event calls for.
