Welcome to this overview of the Community Tab found on the mobile app! This guide will show you how to use the Community Tab's features. The three main features of the Community Tab are: Chat, Prayer Intentions, and Parish-specific Community Challenges.
Where can I find the Community Tab?
You can find the Community Tab, at the bottom of your screen, immediately to the left of the "Me" tab.
What can I do in the Community Tab?
In the Community Tab you'll be able to:
Find and join your parish to connect with other parishioners
Connect with friends
Send chat messages to individuals and groups
Share and pray for specific prayer intentions
Pray the current Hallow Community Challenge or join your parish-specific challenge
Communities
There are two types of communities you can join using the Community Tab in the Hallow app:
Friends - for connecting with any friends and family who also use Hallow!
Church - for connecting with other parishioners at your church!
You will be able to toggle between these two communities in the upper lefthand corner of that tab.
Connect with your parish in the Hallow app!
You will have the option to join a parish through the Community Tab of the mobile Hallow app and share your Hallow experience with other parishioners.
Connect with your friends in the Hallow app!
You will have the option to enable contact access, this will allow us to show you other Hallow users you might know! The friends connections is to a 2 way connection. (i.e. the other person must accept the friend request). You can also invite friends to Hallow directly by sharing a link!

Parishes are continually being added to our database. If your parish is not currently available, try checking again in a few weeks!
Chat Messages
You can message one-on-one with a friend or send a message to your parish group chat. You can also customize your group chats!
Prayer Intentions
You can post a prayer intention to your friends or parish from where you can pray for individual intentions or for all intentions. Intentions will remain active for 7 days. You will have the ability to respond to a prayer intention directly through a chat message and view intentions in a story-style carousel!
Community Challenges
Engage with your parish community by joining a Hallow community challenge. Complete daily sessions and reflections to deepen your faith journey. Your parish can even create custom challenges for a more personalized experience! Share your reflections on the parish activity feed or keep them private. Explore others' insights by tapping into the challenge card!
