What is the Friends and Family Plan?
The Friends and Family Plan is a Hallow subscription that covers up to 6 people (you plus 5 others) at a discounted rate of $119.99/year. This plan can only be purchased through the Hallow website, not through the mobile app.
Apple's Family Sharing feature is not supported by Hallow. You must upgrade to the Hallow's Friends and Family Plan instead to share this with your loved ones.
🌍 International users must have an email-based account to purchase and manage a Family Plan. Phone-number-only accounts cannot upgrade to a Family Plan.
If you currently have a phone-only account, add an email to your account before attempting to purchase the Family Plan.
Signing up for the Friends & Family Plan: Step-by-Step Instructions
Whether you're new to Hallow or already have an account (but no subscription), follow these steps:
Go to hallow.com/family-plans
Click Log In or Create an Account. Whatever login method you choose, please make sure you use the same method when you log into the app.
After logging in or creating your account, you'll see subscription options
Select the Friends and Family plan
Tap Subscribe
Enter your payment information
Click Redeem to complete your subscription. Your new subscription will come with a trial before you are charged.

Upgrading when you have an individual subscription (Monthly or Yearly Plan)
To upgrade from an individual annual subscription to a Friends and Family Plan:
⚠️ Before you upgrade:
You must cancel your current individual subscription to avoid being charged twice.
About prorated pricing:
When you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll receive a prorated credit. The unused portion of your individual plan will be credited toward your Family Plan price.
Example: If you paid $70 for an annual subscription 6 months ago, half the price ($35) will be credited toward the $119.99 Family plan. You'd pay $84.99 for a new 12-month plan starting today.
Note: This prorated discount only applies to the plan owner (you). Other family members must cancel their subscriptions separately before joining your plan, and they won't receive credits.
We do not provide any extra promotions or discounts for the friends and family plan. Additionally, if you redeem a gift card, you won't be able to switch to a family plan from that subscription.
Steps to upgrade:
Log in using the method you originally used to create your Hallow account
Tap on the three-bar icon in the upper right corner to open your Settings
Select Subscription.
Select Switch next to the Friends and Family Plan
Next step: After subscribing, visit hallow.com/settings/family to get your family invite link and send it to members you want to add to your plan.
Important Restrictions
Gift card subscriptions: Cannot be converted to Family Plans.
Promotions: The Family Plan doesn't qualify for additional discounts. $119.99/year for 6 people is already our best rate.
Plan size: Exactly 6 people (you plus 5 others). This cannot be adjusted.
Account merging: Don't merge accounts. Each family member should keep their own account and join your Family Plan.
