How to share a screen recording with customer support

Learn how to share a screen recording with the Hallow Support team.

Screen recordings help us see exactly what's happening in your app so we can resolve issues faster. Here's how to create and share one.

How do I record my screen on iPhone?

  1. Go to Settings → Control Center and add Screen Recording

  2. Open Control Center (swipe down from top-right or up from bottom)

  3. Tap the record button and wait 3 seconds

  4. Navigate to Hallow and show us the issue

  5. Stop recording by tapping the red bar at the top or the record button in Control Center

  6. Find the video in your Photos app and attach it to your support message

How do I take a screenshot on iPhone?

  • iPhone with Face ID: Press Side button + Volume Up simultaneously

  • iPhone with Home button: Press Home button + Side/Top button simultaneously

    The screenshot saves to Photos → Screenshots.


How do I record my screen on Android?

  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen for Quick Settings

  2. Tap the Screen Recording tile (if you don't see it, tap the edit icon ✏️ to add it)

  3. Tap to start recording, then navigate to Hallow

  4. Tap Stop when finished

How do I take a screenshot on Android?

  1. Open the screen that you want to capture.

  2. Depending on your phone:

    • Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time.

    • If that doesn’t work, press and hold the Power button for a few seconds. Then tap Screenshot.

    • If neither of these work, go to your phone manufacturer’s support site for help.

  3. At the bottom left, you’ll find a preview of your screenshot. On some phones, at the top of the screen, you'll find Screenshot capture 🖼️


What should I include when sending my recording?

Include these details with your screen recording:

  • What you were trying to do (example: "I was trying to start the Rosary")

  • What happened instead (example: "The audio didn't play" or "The app froze")

  • When this occurs (example: "Every time I open the app" or "Only when I travel")

This information helps us identify and fix the issue quickly.


How do I send my recording to support?

Attach the video or screenshot directly through the "Contact & Support" section in your Hallow app settings or email it to us at support@hallow.app with the subject line Screen Recording - [Brief description of issue].

  • For example: Screen Recording - Issue with music session not loading.
