Hallow widgets are currently available only on iOS devices. Please make sure your Hallow app is updated to the latest version and that you’re logged in to your account.
Hallow offers two home screen widgets for iOS: the Daily Quote widget and the Next Up widget. This article explains how to add each one and what to do if the Daily Quote widget stops updating.
The Daily Quote Widget
The Daily Quote widget displays a new scripture or reflection on your home screen each day. It is available in three sizes (small, medium, or large) and two color themes.
Available color themes:
Purple (Hallow) - matches the app’s signature look.
Neutral (light) - a softer, minimal appearance.
How to add the Daily Quote widget
Touch and hold an empty area on your Home Screen until your apps start to jiggle.
Tap the “Edit” and choose Add Widget button in the top left corner.
Search for Hallow in the widget gallery.
Swipe to find the Daily Quote widget.
Choose from three sizes (small, medium, or large).
Tap Add Widget, then Done in the upper-right corner.
Add the Next Up Widget
The Next Up widget shows your next scheduled prayer or session on your home screen, so you can start it with one tap. It is available in two sizes: small or medium.
How to add the Next Up widget
Touch and hold your Home Screen until the apps begin to jiggle.
Tap the “Edit” and choose Add Widget button in the top left corner.
Search for Hallow and select the Next Up widget.
Choose from two sizes (small or medium).
Tap Add Widget, then Done to save it.
You can add both the Daily Quote and Next Up widgets if you’d like to see both inspiration and prayer reminders together.

Why isn't my Daily Quote widget updating?
The widget can only refresh when you open the Hallow app. The app preloads a few days of quotes in advance, so if you haven't opened the app for more than a few days the widget will stop showing new content. This is expected behavior.
To get it updating again:
Open the Hallow app — this should trigger the widget to refresh automatically.
If it still isn't updating, switch the app to a different language and then switch back. This forces a full refresh.
