As a parish admin or DRE, you can invite families to your Faith Formation (Religious Education - RE) program directly from the Hallow Admin Dashboard — no manual roster entry needed on your end.
Note: This is different from Schools, where the school creates the account and rosters students in bulk. Faith Formation (Religious Education - RE) enrollment runs on an invite-link flow instead: you invite families, and they create the accounts.
How to send an invite
Go to your parish's Faith Formation Program dashboard.
Go to the Member section and select Invite.
Choose how you'd like to share the invite with families:
Copy Invite Link — copy a link to text or email yourself
View QR Code — display a QR code families can scan
Send Email Invite — send the invite directly from the dashboard
Note: Your admin view works the same as before — the only change is that you're inviting families to your roster rather than adding them directly.
What happens next
Once a family completes their side of the invite (creating an account, then creating or linking their child's profile), the student automatically appears in your Member list in the Admin Dashboard. From there, you can add them to classrooms as usual.
FAQs
Do I need to set anything up before sending invites?
No — there's nothing to configure beforehand. You can send the invite link, QR code, or email as soon as your Faith Formation Program dashboard is set up.
Can I resend or reuse the same invite link?
Yes. The link is unique to your Faith Formation Program, but it isn't limited to one use — you can send it to as many families as you need, whenever you need to.
Do already-rostered students need to redo anything?
No — this only applies to newly enrolled students going forward. Existing students' profiles and access stay exactly as they are.
Does connecting a child's profile unlock Hallow's full library for the parent too?
No — program content unlocks on the child's profile only, not on the parent's own account.
