Overview
If your child's school has partnered with Hallow, the school creates your child's account first. As a parent or guardian, you can claim that account and link it to your own — though claiming is optional and your child can use Hallow at school either way.
Note: This is different from connecting a parish Faith Formation (Religious Education - RE) program, where you create your child's profile yourself instead of claiming one that already exists. See How do I connect my child's profile to my parish's Faith Formation (Religious Education - RE) program? for that flow.
How to claim your child's school account
Tap the link provided by your school. If you don't have a Hallow account yet, you'll be prompted to create one — for free, no subscription required.
Enter your email — this should be the same email your child's school uses to contact you, and the one this link was sent to. Note: this may be different from the email you use to sign into Hallow.
Open that email to find your verification code.
Enter the 6-digit verification code, and tap Continue.
Your child's profile and the name of their community should appear. If it's correct, tap Yes, this is my child.
Create a PIN if you don't already have one — otherwise, enter the existing PIN you use with your other kids' profiles.
What to expect
Your own profile doesn't change. Program content stays on your child's Kids Profile only — your own profile and any subscription stay exactly as they are.
No purchases, no ads. In-app purchases (subscriptions, books, and prints) are disabled on Kids Profiles, and Hallow is entirely ad-free.
The same profile, anywhere. Favorites, streaks, and listening history follow your child between school and home.
FAQs
Do I have to claim my child's account?
No — claiming is completely optional. Your child can fully participate at school whether or not you claim their account. Claiming just makes it easier for you to access and manage their profile at home.
What if the student profile that appears isn't my child?
Tap Not my child. You'll be prompted to reach out to your child's school, since this usually means there's a mismatch with the email or account your school has on file.
Do I need to pay anything to claim my child's account?
No — claiming your child's account is free and doesn't require a subscription.
Can I claim more than one child's account?
Yes, up to 12 kids' profiles per Hallow account. If you try to claim more than that, you'll see a message letting you know 12 is the max. From there, you can either remove some existing profiles or create an additional Hallow account to claim the rest.
