How can I tell if I'm subscribed?
How can I tell if I'm subscribed?

Not sure if you are subscribed or when your free trial ends?

Updated this week

You can check your subscription status by following the instructions below. To make changes to your subscription, you can go here.

IMPORTANT

  • Your subscription type may differ from the sign-in method you used to create your account. (i.e. You may be logging in with Google sign-on but paid with PayPal, so your subscription is a PayPal subscription, not a Google Play store subscription.)

  • Subscriptions can be started on our website or through the app stores. If you are having trouble finding your subscription or suspect you have more than one subscription, make sure to check both the website AND the app store!
Instructions for how to do both are below.

How to check your subscription in the Hallow mobile app:

  • Step 1: Tap the "Me" tab in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  • Step 2: Tap the settings "cog" icon ⚙️ in the top right-hand corner to access the “Settings.”

  • Step 3: Tap the "Subscription" to see what your current subscription status is (see screenshot below).

    • Note: if the grey text says “On Hallow.com that means you started your subscription on our website and paid with credit card or PayPal. If it says “through the App Store” that means you used the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

You will be able to see a few pieces of information on the Subscription tab of your mobile app:

  • Current Subscription Plan: The large bold text at the top will display the current plan you are on (Annual, Monthly, or Family).

  • Renewal Date: If the text says “renewing on” and the date is in the future, your trial or subscription is active and the date displayed is the date you will next be charged.

  • Ends on: If the text says “ends on” then your trial or subscription has been canceled. You will retain access to the trial or subscription until the date displayed. After that date you will be on the free version of the app.

  • Subscription Method: You will be able to see where you subscribed by looking at the grey text that says “Subscribed through ____”

    • Subscribed through hallow.com means you subscribe through the Website - Hallow.com.

    • Subscribed through the App Store means you subscribe through the Apple App Store.

    • Subscribed through the Play Store means you subscribe through the Google Play Store.

If you are not subscribed to the app, it will show you a "Subscribe" button instead of "Subscription" which will prompt you to redeem the trial. This means you are on the free version of the app.

How to check your subscription on the Hallow website:

  • Step 1: Login to your account through a web browser (E.g. Safari or Chrome) here.

  • Step 2: Click on "Subscriptions" on the left.

    • If you have an active trial or subscription, you will be able to see the subscription plan (monthly, annual, or family) as well as when it will renew.

    • If you are on the free version of the app, and do not have an active trial or subscription, it will show the option to purchase a new subscription.

      (See screenshots below)

An active Hallow subscription will look like this:

The free version of Hallow with no subscription will show the option "purchase subscription," prompting you to subscribe:

To see a history of past subscription payments, click on "Payments" under the "Subscription" tab.

What to do if you think you have been charged twice.

If you think you have been charged twice by Hallow but only see one subscription, here are the most common reasons that this might have occurred and how to proceed.

  • A) You accidentally subscribed twice using different subscription methods (Once in the app store and once online with credit card or PayPal).

    • Your mobile app should show both subscriptions in this case. However, you may need to check both the app store and our website if you're still not seeing both subscriptions.

  • B) You accidentally created a second account using different login methods.

    • For example: It is possible you created an account with Apple or Google sign-on and then later created an account with your phone number.

    • You should try logging out and logging back in with a different sign-in method. If it starts prompting you to create an account, then that method does not have an active account and you do not need to proceed.

  • C) You share a card or bank account with a family member who has also subscribed.

    • If you are completely sure you don't have another account or accidentally subscribed in both the app store and our website, be sure to check with your family to see if one of them subscribed to Hallow recently.
