If you're experiencing issues accessing new features or content, or if the app isn't behaving as expected, it’s important to ensure you have the latest version. Keeping Hallow updated ensures you have access to the latest features, bug fixes, and improvements.
You might need to update if:
The app suddenly crashes or freezes
Sessions won't play or load
You can't see new content or features that were announced
You're getting error messages
The app is slower than usual
Buttons or features aren't working properly
If you're experiencing any of these issues, updating to the latest version usually helps. Here's how:
For iOS Devices (Apple App Store)
On iPhone, the "Update" button does NOT appear in search results. You MUST tap into the full app page to see update availability. Search results may show "Open" even when an update exists.
To check for updates in the Apple App Store:
Open App Store
Tap Search 🔍 (bottom of screen)
Type "Hallow"
Tap on the Hallow app ← Don't skip this step!
On the app page, look for an Update button
If you see Update → Tap it
If you see Open → You're already on the latest version ✓

To check compatibility and the latest app version in the Apple App Store:
Once you've found the app using the steps above...
Check the version number under "What's New."
Scroll down to view the "Information" section.
Look for "Compatibility".
Compatibility should say "Works on this iPhone"
For Android Devices (Google Play Store):
To check for updates in the Google Play Store:
Open the Google Play Store by tapping the Google Play Store icon on your Android device.
Tap the Profile icon located at the top right of the screen.
Tap Manage apps & device and look for apps labeled Update available.
Update the Hallow App: Tap Update next to the Hallow app if an update is available.
To check compatibility and the latest app version in the Google Play Store:
Once you've found the app using the steps above...
Scroll down to tap on "About this app".
Scroll down to view "App Info".
Check "Version" and "Compatibility".
Compatibility should say "Works on your device"
