Friends & Family Plan FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Hallow Friends & Family subscription plan

Updated over a week ago

Will I lose my streak, favorites, and journals when I upgrade to a friends & family plan?

Cancelling the individual plan is necessary to avoid being charged twice for renewal. You won't lose any of your progress as long as you upgrade with the same email associated with your individual account. Please view the article below for steps on how to cancel:

If my account is under my phone number can I still subscribe to a friends & family plan?

If your individual account is linked to a phone number, you'll need to add an email. Please follow the steps provided here to proceed:

My group is larger than 6 - can I still add them to a Family Plan? Do you offer a larger plan for families of more than 6 people?

Our friends & family plan includes up to six people and this cannot be adjusted. If you would like to add a larger number of people to the plan, we recommend having two members start two friends & family plans. It is our most heavily discounted plan. You will still save so much more compared to individual plans for each person!

Can I use Apple’s Family Sharing to share Hallow with my family members?

The family sharing feature through Apple is not supported by the app. You can, however, sign up for our friends & family subscription that allows you to share Hallow with up to six family members.

I have an individual subscription (Yearly or Monthly plan), but I want to upgrade to a Friends & Family plan, how do I do that?

Go to hallow.com/family to log in, click the family button, and follow the prompts to upgrade.

I joined someone’s friends & family plan in Hallow, can I get a refund for my individual subscription?

No. If the owner of a family plan is upgrading to the friends & family plan before their individual plan is complete, their new plan will be pro-rated to take into account the remainder of the original subscription that they already paid for. This only applies to the owner of the family plan.

It is up to the owner whether they choose to gift the subscription to the other members or ask them to contribute to covering the cost. Either way, if the the added members joining the plan have individual subscriptions of their own, they must decide whether they want to wait until the end of their billing cycle to join, or join mid-cycle.

Can members of my family plan see my routines and intentions?

No, members of your friends & family plan will not see your prayer activity.

We do offer ways to share your Hallow experience through the community tab of the app. If you do want to share your activity and intentions with the other members of your plan, you can opt-in and choose to use those features to do so.
