Welcome to Hallow!
The app is divided into five tabs: Home, Search, Bible, Community, and Me.
Home Tab
The Home tab is where you will find the Daily Quote, the current Community Challenges, Prayer Campaigns, Daily Trivia, Featured Collections, and Suggested Prayers. It's a great place to explore some of our newest or most popular content!
You'll find a carousel of suggested prayers on this tab, including:
Morning Routines
Nightly Routines
Explore by Category
Kids & Schools
Courses
And many more!
This tab also provides shortcuts to your Favorites, Downloads, Routines, and Recent Sessions. Additionally, you can share Hallow with friends using a QR code!
At the moment, there is no way to personalize the Home Tab to hide or remove the displayed sessions.
Search Tab
On the Search Tab, you have the ability to explore all of our content and search for specific prayers or music. When you click on this tab, you will see the content organized into different categories. You have the option of searching through these categories or searching a specific topic in the search bar at the top.
For example, when you search and use the keyword "Fr. Mike" within the app, it will provide you with five different options that you can toggle through to locate the exact content you're looking for:
Top Results: This option combines all of the top results related to the topic you're searching for. Your search results may include sessions, collections, categories, and even references to Bible content
Collection: Collections are groups of prayers or sessions bundled together. For instance, "Daily Homilies" is a good example of a collection.
Sessions: This option helps you find individual sessions or prayers that are guided by Fr. Mike. If you're looking for a specific prayer or topic, this is the place to start.
Categories: A category refers to one of the sections that come up pre-organized in the search tab. If you search for a topic and we already have organized all of those sessions into a category, then it will come up under "Categories." Since we have a category for Fr. Mike, clicking on "Categories" will take you to a page filled with all of the sessions and collections related to Fr. Mike's content.
Bible: References to scripture will come up and can take you directly to the Bible verse related to that topic.

Bible Tab
In the Bible tab you can read the Daily Readings, Responsorial Psalm, and The Gospel, as well as access individual books of the Bible. The Bible tab offers several Bible translations, including language-specific editions that match the available languages in the app.
In the Bible tab, you can also find the previous and next day's Daily Readings, Responsorial Psalm, and Gospel.

Community Tab
The Community tab is designed to be a space for connecting with other friends and family using Hallow as well as with your parish community. This tab allows you to share and react to prayer intentions, pray through and reflect on community challenges with others, and even chat with individuals and groups.

If you do not see the community tab on your app as described, it may be that your Parish hasn’t launched in the app yet or that it is not a feature that is available in your country yet. We thank you for your patience! Feel free to reach out to customer support if you have further questions or concerns.
Me Tab
The Me tab is your place in the app to customize your prayer experience and manage your account details.
You will find four sections when you tap the "Me" tab: Settings, Library, Journal and Activity.
In "Settings" ⚙️, you will find:
Your Profile: View or edit your name, the email or phone number associated with your account, the profile avatar more. Specific options include:
Edit Profile: Change your avatar, first name, and last name.
Update Email/Phone Number: Modify your contact information.
Reset Password
Manage Tracking: Control data collection preferences.
Delete Account: Remove your Hallow account.
General:
Switch Theme (Light/Dark Mode): Customize the app's appearance.
Notification Settings: Manage alerts for new prayers, campaigns, and daily quotes.
Language: Change the app's language.
Apple Health & Siri Shortcuts: Integrate with these features
Export Journals: Save your journal entries externally.
Subscriptions: View your subscription status, which plan you are on, and when you will next renew.
Contact Hallow Support: Reach out to our support team by using the in-app messenger to ask questions.
Legal: In the legal section you can view our terms of service and privacy policy.
Logout
The version of your Hallow App: View which version of the app you are on in the grey writing at the very bottom of the menu.
In the "Library", you will find:
Favorites
Routines: Set a daily prayer routine or reminders to pray at dedicated times. The ability to set routines is only available in the mobile app!
Downloads: Access sessions from your downloads to play offline.
Recently Prayed
In the "Journal" section, you will find:
Intentions: Find all your Intentions on this section and an option to add an intention. You can post it to the groups you have joined or privately.
Reflections: Find all your journals or reflections in this section. You have the option to Share or Delete your Reflection. The ability to journal is only available in the mobile app!
Mood Checks: You will find a set of emojis and find the content to reflect your mood. You can reflect and share how you feel and get content recommendations based on your mood.
Recent Reflections
In the "Activity" section, you will find:
Prayer Goal: Set a weekly goal for the number of times you want to pray!
Current and Longest Streak
View Prayer Activity: Click on "View Prayer Activity" to see a calendar view of your prayer activity on Hallow.
How to listen to sessions on the mobile app:
Now that you know your way around the app, it's time to listen to our incredible audio content!
To listen to a session with Hallow, simply tap on the session you want to listen to and select "Play Session." Before you start, you have the option to add an intention by tapping "Pray for an Intention." You can choose to share your intentions with others or keep it private.
When you click "Play," you will find several icons to customize your listening preferences.
To rewind, tap the minus button to the left of the play button.
To fast forward, tap the plus button. Each tap rewinds or fast forwards by 10 seconds.
You can also use the slider to skip through the session to the end, and mark the session as completed.
Below the "Play" button, you will find several options:
Up Arrow: Share the session on various platforms.
Music Note Icon: Manage the audio controls to customize settings like background music, the guide/narrator, prayer length, playback speed, and a sleep timer.
Book Icon: Display a transcript of the text on the screen. (Note: transcripts are not available for all sessions)
List Icon: Create a playlist, shuffle, or repeat sessions.
