Frequently asked questions about the Hallow app's Community Tab!
When will my parish page launch in the app? How do I add my parish?
Be sure to select the correct parish based on its address. If you're having trouble finding your parish or don't see your parish listed, try searching by zip code. If you still can't find it, your parish may not have joined yet.
Hallow will be training and launching parish leaders throughout the Fall of 2024. Generally, we are starting with those parishes with the largest and most active waitlists. If you would like to speed up the timeline to getting your page launched, a great way to do that is to invite other members of your community to join your parish waitlist.
I offered to become a parish admin for my parish. When can I become one?
Ultimately, the final decision as to who becomes an admin is made by the pastor and his leadership team. Once a leader has been selected, they will be invited to go through a Hallow Admin training webinar. As we are reaching out to parish leadership teams, we are happy to suggest all the people who offered to take on the responsibility, but it is ultimately their decision.
I thought I already joined my parish. Why do I have to join again?
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. As we are introducing a lot of new features and capacities within the Community Tab, we are also required to have you build additional details of a profile and clarify your permissions. This is not something you will have to go through regularly in the future.
How do I report something inappropriate in the Community Tab?
Customers can report Intentions, Campaigns, User Profiles, and Community Profiles. To do so, just tap the three-button menu and click "Report." You can read more about our Community Guidelines here.
How do I add a prayer intention?
Just tap on the plus sign (+) in the upper lefthand corner of your screen to add your intention. You can share them or keep your intentions private.
How can I manage the privacy of my intentions?
After typing your intention, you can choose to share it with your communities then click “Save.”
Share with friends: Check the box next to "Friends."
Share with your parish: Check the box next to "Parish."
Keep private: Leave both boxes unchecked.
Sharing Prayer Intentions with your Communities: If you are sharing the prayer intention with your parish or with your friends, you will see a little checkmark next to the selected communities.
Keeping Prayer Intentions Private: If you are not sharing the prayer intention with your parish or with your friends, there will be no checkmarks next to your communities.
How do I pray for someone’s intention?
You can view intentions in a story-like carousel and you’ll also be able to see a user’s intentions on their profile page or in the community activity feed.
What happened to the old group feature in Hallow?
The former group feature in Hallow has been merged into chats. You can still chat with your former groups if you created any before Summer 2024. If no messages were exchanged in the last 60 days before the update, your group was archived and you will need to create new group messages using the chat feature.
