The reflections feature allows you to capture your thoughts and takeaways following your prayer sessions. You will have the option to share these reflections with your community (group, church, and friends) or keep them personal.
If you share your reflections with your community, they will be able to comment and send you private messages about what you’ve shared. If you choose to keep these reflections personal, they will be added to your journal and won’t be shared with anyone.
The app will remember your most recent sharing options, so make sure to check if it’s being shared or not before posting.
If you'd like to review all your reflections, you can find them in your Journal Entries section. Simply navigate to the Me tab or section to easily access your Journals.
How can I keep my reflections private
Play the session
On the post-prayer screen, scroll down to find the Reflection.
Tap the text box to add your thoughts.
In the bottom left, tap All groups.
Make sure to uncheck each of the groups to keep the reflection private.
Click Done.
If your reflection is not being shared with others, it should show as Private.
Tap Post, and it will be added to your journal.
How can I share my reflections to my community
Play the session
On the post-prayer screen, scroll down to find the Reflection.
Tap the text box to add your thoughts.
In the bottom left, tap Private.
Check off each group where you want your reflections to be shared.
Click Done.
It should show as All Groups or Posting to x Communities
Tap Post, and it will be shared in your Community
How to delete a reflection
All you have to do it tap the three-button icon on the upper right and you should have the option to Remove Post.
Community Challenge Discussions
During featured community challenges, like our seasonal Pray40 and Pray25, you will be able to respond to discussion questions meant to facilitate discussion in the community. The responses to these prompts function just like regular reflections and can also be shared or kept private.
Even if you joined the challenge late, you can still add your reflection. Simply click the discussion card in the Community Tab and add your thoughts. Tapping to respond will take you to the discussion detail page, where you can also see what others have shared.
You can also add a discussion question without completing or playing the session. Simply tap the challenge listing and then select Discussion to post your question.
Additionally, if you’d like to message the person who posted the discussion, you can do so by tapping the Chat icon.
