This article will guide you through the steps to invite friends and manage your connections within the Community Tab. You'll learn how to add new friends, accept friend requests, remove friends, and view your friends' connections.
How to Invite Friends
Tap the “Community” tab.
Select “Add Friends.”
You’ll see friends suggested by Hallow.
To add friends from your contact list:
Tap “Sync Your Contacts.” (You can easily disable or redo this action if you change your mind.)
In your device settings, toggle “Contacts” to sync, then return to the app.
If Hallow already has access to your contacts, you’ll see a list of suggested friends. Next to their username, simply tap “Invite.” This will prompt you to share a link via text, and their status will update to ‘Invited.’
To redo this action, just tap “Invited.”
If you see the option “Add,” a friend request will be sent immediately, and the user will be notified. Their status will update to ‘Requested.’
To redo this action, just tap “Requested.”
How to Accept Friend Requests
There are two ways you can receive notifications to confirm a friend request:
App Notification:
You’ll receive a notification when someone adds you.
Tap the “Community” tab.
Tap the “People” icon.
Go to “Requests.”
Tap “Accept.”
Message Notification:
You’ll receive an SMS or a message with a link. Click the link, which will either prompt you to download the app or open it directly.
Tap the “Community” tab.
Tap the “People” icon.
Go to “Requests.”
Tap “Accept.”
How to Remove a Friend
Tap the “People” icon.
Go to “Friends.”
Tap “Friends” next to the name of the user.
Tap “Remove Friend.”
How to View the Friends of Your Added Friend
Tap the “People” icon.
Go to “Friends.”
Tap the name of the friend.
Tap “Friends” next to the ‘Chat’ icon.
