How do I change my subscription plan?

Want to know more about what subscription plans we offer? or how to change between monthly or annual subscriptions?

Before you make any changes, please take a moment to read the text below.

  • If you have been charged already, changes to your subscription will take effect on the next billing cycle.

  • If you upgrade to a more expensive plan, you will be charged for the difference in price for the remaining months.

Which subscription plans are available through Hallow?

Hallow offers 3 different paid subscription plans. Each plan includes the same access and benefits. The only difference between plans is the frequency of your billing cycle and how many members are covered.

Monthly

The monthly Hallow subscription covers one individual and is paid on a month-to-month basis.

Annual

The annual Hallow subscription covers one individual and is paid on a yearly basis. The annual subscription is the default for all new trials and subscriptions unless selected otherwise.

Friends & Family

The Friends & Family plan grants full access to the Hallow app for up to six members (including yourself) and is paid on a yearly basis. Go here to learn more about the Friends & Family plan.

If you are a new subscriber being prompted to subscribe and don't see the subscription plan you want...

If you are a new customer being prompted to subscribe and don't see the subscription plan you want, try going to the website as all plans are usually available via our website. In the app, you can also try clicking the "X" in the top right corner and going to your app settings to find the subscription tab.

If you are a current subscriber and want to switch between the annual and monthly plan...

We recommend that you take the following steps if you want to switch between your annual and monthly Hallow subscription:

  • Step 1: Cancel your current subscription. You will retain access through the remainder of the billing cycle.

  • Step 2: Make note of when that subscription ends.

  • Step 3: When your current subscription ends, visit our website or the app store and subscribe again with the preferred plan.

Please note that you do not have to wait, you can switch between plans at any time.

However, the remainder of your annual subscription will not be refunded if you change from an annual to a monthly subscription before your billing cycle ends.

If you are a current subscriber and want to switch to the Friends & Family plan...

You can only subscribe to the friends and family plan through our website. Visit the following article for more details!


How to change your current subscription plan from the app store, the mobile app, or the website

Below are the steps to upgrade or downgrade your current subscription from either your mobile app store or the website. You cannot change your subscription plan from within the app's settings, you must visit your app store or the website.

How to change your subscription plan from the Apple App store

  • Step 1: Click on this link for directions from Apple and a link to your Apple subscriptions.

  • Step 2: Look for the Hallow app and open it.

  • Step 3: To change your subscription, simply select your preferred plan from the options.

How to change your subscription plan from the Google Play store

  • Step 1: Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.

  • Step 2: Tap on your profile icon located at the top right corner of the screen.

  • Step 3: Tap on "Payments & Subscriptions."

  • Step 4: Select "Subscriptions."

  • Step 5: Choose the Hallow subscription to update.

  • Step 6: Tap on "Manage" next to the subscription.

  • Step 7: Select "Change subscription plan." Here, you will see available options to either upgrade or downgrade your plan.

  • Step 8: Select the new plan you want to switch to.

  • Step 9: Follow the prompts to confirm your changes. You might need to enter your payment details if the new plan has a different cost.

How to change your subscription plan from the website:

  • Step 1: Visit this link and sign into your account.

  • Step 2: Once signed in, look for the left-hand side of the page.

  • Step 3: Locate the button "Subscription" and *click on it to be taken to the subscription settings.

  • Step 4: Click the option "Plans." You will have the option to switch to another subscription plan.

  • Step 5: Select the desired subscription plan that you would like to switch to.

*If you are looking for the Friends & Family subscription and don't see it, try clicking the tab "Friends & Family" instead!

Have additional questions about changing your subscription plan?

Do you offer lifetime or multi-year subscriptions so that I don't have to keep renewing each year?

No. While Hallow offered a lifetime subscription for a limited time when we first launched for our early adopters, it is no longer a subscription plan that we offer. We also do not offer the opportunity to subscribe for more than one year upfront. We love that you see yourself using Hallow for many years though!

Do you offer payment plans?

No. We do not offer any payment plans. You can enroll monthly if you prefer not to pay for the full year upfront.
