Why am I getting the error “an account with this email address already exists” when I try to sign up?

If you create an account with a phone number you still have to provide an email for the subscription receipt. If the email you provided is already tied to an account, you will get this error. This helps prevent creating duplicate subscriptions and accounts.

You should log out and try again by logging into the correct account, using the email you just entered, to proceed.
