Why was I charged when the app isn't on my phone?

Deleting the Hallow app (or any other app) from your device does not automatically cancel any active or trial subscriptions associated with it. Why? Because subscriptions are managed separately and directly through the platform where it was purchased.

Think of the app as the container, and the subscription as the key that unlocks the content in that container. Throwing away the container does not destroy the key!

If you need to cancel your subscription, here is our detailed step-by-step guide on how to cancel your Hallow subscription according to each platform and payment method.

Note: You must cancel your free trial at least 24 hours prior to your renewal date to avoid being charged.

If you choose to cancel you will still have access to all of the content for the duration of the free trial or subscription. Once it expires, your account will revert back to the free version and you will have access to our free content (e.g., intro, dailies).

Please note, Hallow never charges customers without consent. Our trials all require that you provide valid payment upon sign-up and we share with you, before you sign up, what the amount is that you will be charged at the end of the trial. In order for us to have any customer payment information at all, you consent to start a trial by entering your credit card information on our website or consenting through PayPal or Google/Apple App Store payment methods. All trials automatically change into a paid subscription unless you cancel it at least 24hrs beforehand.
