Error: “URLSessionTask failed with error” or “A network response was unable to be parsed correctly”

How to deal with errors related to server issues

Updated this week

If you’re seeing one of the following error messages, it means the Hallow app had trouble connecting to our servers. This usually happens due to a temporary network issue or an unstable internet connection.

  • Error: “A Network response was unable to be parsed correctly. Please contact Hallow support for more information.”

  • Error: “URLSessionTask failed with error: A server with the specified hostname could not be found.”

  1. Close and reopen the app.

This refreshes your connection and often resolves temporary glitches.

  2. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Sometimes the issue is with your current network. Try switching to see if the problem goes away.

  3. Make sure you’re using the latest app version.

Updates often include important fixes that resolve these types of issues.

  4. Still having trouble?

Please send us a message at support@hallow.app with a screenshot of the error and details about your device (model and OS version).
