How do I manage my trial or Hallow subscription?

How to make changes to your Hallow trial or subscription depending on your subscription type.

Updated this week

If you have an active trial or Hallow subscription, here are the first steps for managing any changes.

The instructions below will outline where to go to manage changes to your subscription. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we have linked to additional articles that should help!

Before you make any changes, please take note:

  • If you have been charged already, changes to your subscription will take effect on the next billing cycle.

  • If you want to upgrade to a more expensive plan, you will be charged for the difference in price for the remaining months.

Subscription Methods Overview:

Your first step is to identify how you subscribed since this will determine where you manage your subscription. Below is an overview of the possible subscription types depending on where you initially started your trial or subscription. You may need to check both the app store and the website if you don't initially see your subscription in one or the other location.

On our website…

  • You can subscribe with a debit or credit card. (Your receipt will come from our payment processor, Stripe).

  • You can subscribe with PayPal.

In the mobile app...

  • You can subscribe through the Apple App Store associated with your preferred payment method on file.

  • You can subscribe through the Google Play Store with your preferred payment method on file.

How to manage your subscription in the mobile app:

  • Step 1: Go to the "Me" tab found at the bottom right corner of your screen.

  • Step 2: Tap "Settings" or the gear icon on the top right.

  • Step 3: On the Settings screen, tap "Subscription."

You will then find what your "Current Plan" is, as well as where you subscribed. Where you subscribed will help you determine where to make changes to your subscription.

The grey text underneath your current plan will say one of the following:

  • Subscribed through hallow.com means you subscribe through the Website - Hallow.com.

  • Subscribed through the App Store means you subscribe through the Apple App Store.

  • Subscribed through the Play Store means you subscribe through the Google Play Store.

If you are on a “Free” version of the app - in other words, you have no subscription/active trial - then this screen will not show anything. Instead of seeing "Subscription," you will see "Subscribe."

How to manage your web subscription on Hallow.com:

If you started your trial or subscription on our website and paid with credit card or PayPal, then you will need to manage your subscription on our website. If you start from the mobile app, it will redirect you to the website to make the final changes to your subscription there.

  • Step 1: Log into the website by clicking here.

  • Step 2: Select your sign-in method:

    • If you signed up with an email or phone number, select Continue with Email or Phone Number.

    • If you signed up with Google, select Continue with Google.

    • If you signed up with Apple, select Continue with Apple.

  • Step 3: Navigate to the left side of the screen and look under Subscriptions. Here you can see the options for switching between Free, Monthly, and Yearly plans.

  • Step 4: If you already have a subscription, you will see the current plan details as well as the option to switch between plans.

If you’d like to upgrade to the Friends & Family Plan, you can select the Friends & Family tab and follow the prompts to upgrade.
