Here’s how to fix “In-app purchases not allowed” errors when buying a Hallow gift card. These are often due to account and device settings.

On an Android device (Google Play)

If you’re using an Android device and having trouble completing your gift card purchase, try the following:

  • Make sure you’re signed into the correct Google account

  • Check that your payment method is valid and up to date

  • Confirm there are no parental controls or purchase restrictions enabled

On an iOS device (Apple)

If you see the message “In-app purchases are not allowed” while trying to buy a gift card, it usually means there are Screen Time or Content & Privacy Restrictions enabled. Try these steps if you get this error on an iOS device:

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap Screen Time

  3. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions

  4. Go to iTunes & App Store Purchases

  5. Set In-app Purchases to Allow
